Beach Fashion Session at Yorktown Beach with LA-Based Model Anna Midé

I’ve been dying to team up again with this amazing model for years. Finally the stars aligned.

Way back in my early days here in Virginia, I had the opportunity to work with @annamidé. It was one of those sessions that stuck in my mind as a game changer as it showed me the possibilities of what I could do with the right people. She was a consumit pro which allowed me to sit back and really pay attention to what I was doing.

I knew within 10 minutes that I wanted to work with her again and again.

But that didn’t happen.

Anna moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion of being a model. I’ve always said that, if you want to do something big, you need to be in the place where that was happening. For a model that would be NYC, LA, Paris, Rome, et cetera.

We remained in touch, on and off, through the years. We tried to mesh our schedules but it never worked out.

Until recently.

The stars aligned during her recent visit back to the area. As soon as we realized it could finally happened, we made plans.

It was mind blowing. I couldn’t hit the shutter fast enough as she just rolled through pose after pose after pose as smoothly as hot knife through butter. The camera actually got warm against my cheek as I struggled not to waste a single moment.

She brought three outfits with her which just added to the experience as we got so many “looks” out of each one. As I look over these images, I can clearly see several of them that are “fresh” and “new” to me.

As it usually happens, we ran out of light before we ran out of ideas.
