Welcoming Summer 2017 Sessions.

It’s time to head outdoors and create unique images that will be cherished for generations.

Yep, it’s time to take the show on the road. Time to hit local and regional locations to use as backdrops for your portrait session. While I love working inside, the great outdoors appeals to me in so many different ways. We use the power of different environments to add depth to a scene and to inspire us as we work.

Most importantly, we use it to awe the viewers when it’s all said and done.

So let me take a moment to remind everyone what I offer. I have extensive experience in the following: Continue reading

It’s that time of year.

Gearing up for another portrait season outside.

Things are finally warming up out there which means a return to outdoor sessions. Personally, I’m counting the days until I can return to the beach and other wonderful locations.

I’m also building a small studio set up at my place in case the weather won’t cooperate or a client wants studio portraits done. I’m posting an image from a test run I did here recently.

That being said here’s a reminder of just what kind of portrait sessions I offer. These can be done on location or at my place:

Yep, I’m still kicking. Here’s an update of what’s in the works.

I’ve just been busy with the other side of the business during the cold months.

Life is about balance. The ebb and flow. Doing the best you can with what you’ve got. Go with the flow. To this end I split my business between portraits and other endeavors. I do the portraits when the weather cooperates as they’re done outside on location. When the temps drop, I head inside to do other things.

I always keep an eye on the weather forecast, though. If I see a day or two that creep up above 65 I start lining up sessions outside so there will be some new images coming down the line, I promise.

Here we are, squarely in the Quiet Season, but I’m still busy.

What’s been going on and what’s coming up.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve added anything here. It’s the down time of the year for photographers in this area. The weather outside has turned cold which limits anything down outside. Christmas is over so everyone has their fill of portraits and such. Valentine’s Day is upon us so the boudoir season is also winding down which means the demand for those images will be decreasing.

But that’s not to say that I’ve been idle. I’ve recently bought a video camera so I can hold Skype lessons with those that are interested in photography and modeling. I’m also working on weekly clips of five minutes or less about various topics in the business. I will add links here on this page to the relevant videos but all of them will be hosted on my own YouTube page if you want to see them all.

I’ve been updating my Facebook business page not to mention slowly updating my blog pages by deleting old images, streamlining things, unifying a consistent look to them, et cetera.

But that’s not the biggest news.
