I’ve spent more than 40 years behind a camera, photographing thousands of people from all walks of life. Along the way, I’ve worked as a photojournalist, college instructor, mentor, commercial photographer, and currently as a photographer at a national air and space agency here in Hampton. All of that experience has taught me one important lesson: great portraits aren’t about fancy gear, trendy editing, or copying what everyone else is doing. They’re about seeing people.

My job isn’t to make you look like someone else. It’s to create images that feel like you on your best day. Whether you’re looking for professional headshots, personal branding, fitness portraits, maternity images, fashion work, or something completely unique, every session is built around your personality, your goals, and your story.

I also understand that being in front of a camera can feel intimidating. That’s why I guide you through the entire process. You don’t need modeling experience. You don’t need to know how to pose. My job is to help you relax, find great light, and create images that you’ll be proud of for years to come. The result is more than a photograph. It’s a visual record of who you are right now and a reminder of how far you’ve come.

Meet the Photographer

My name is Mark. Photography has been my life professionally for 40 years with more than 10 of them teaching photography at the college level and I have zero intentions of stopping. What began as a kid with a camera grew into a lifelong career built around creativity, connection, and helping people see themselves in a new way.

I love portrait photography because it’s about so much more than creating beautiful images. These sessions often celebrate milestones, personal growth, life transitions, fitness achievements, recovery journeys, or simply the decision to do something for yourself. No modeling experience is required. My job is to guide you through the process, make you comfortable, and create images that feel authentic to who you are.

Most importantly, this experience is about you. Your comfort, boundaries, and goals always come first. Together, we’ll create images that not only look amazing but tell your story.
