I got an offer I couldn’t refuse.
Well, hello there. So, I went quiet there for a bit. Please forgive me. My life has been a whirlwind for the past eight weeks. Long story short, I applied for, and accepted, a job at NASA Langley as a photographer.
It still gives me chills typing that. To walk the hallowed grounds of such a storied place was, in itself, a lifelong dream. Now, I do it daily and provide documentation of the daily events occurring there for future generations. It boggles the mind.
So, within a very short amount of time I had to find a new place to live back in Virginia, pack up, move, settle in, and start my new career. Thank God for such strong family and friends that helped me out in the transition back. I literally wouldn’t be here with out them.
Today is the first day in eight weeks where I could sit down and update you all on the events while updating other social media platforms. One of which is the recent creation of my very own website. I just realized I’ve never mentioned it here before. It was done to create a showcase of my skills, education and work experience. I really am proud of it. Go check it out.
Looking forward, I want to start holding portrait sessions again. My specialties include solo, couples, engagement, beach, fitness/health, headshot, baby bonding, fashion, model portfolio, senior, event, and trash the dress photo sessions both on location and in a studio environment.
I also offer one on one and small group photography lessons. I have over 30 years of photography experience plus 10 years of teaching 26 different classes of photography at the college level. I can teach a beginner the basics all the way up to a seasoned pro needed pointers or refreshers.
Let’s get this going again. I can’t wait to get back into the game.
