Terri and Steve’s Sincere Wedding.

The couple exchanged vows at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center.

I don’t promote it but I still do the occasional wedding for the right couple. Terri and Steve were just that. When we met at a local bookstore to talk about their upcoming nuptials, it was instant connection.

They were so easy going and fun to be with. We were on the same wavelength. Three peas in the same pod. I knew within a matter of seconds that it was a definite yes for me. It was not the first time for either one and their entire guest list, including the wedding party, was 24 people. They were going to exchange vows on the beach on a Sunday. The reception was to be held at the convention center during their brunch.

This fit perfectly with my concept of Sincere Weddings which is what I love covering.

More images after the break. What a blast. The whole thing was light hearted and filled with love. Christina Rodriguez was the officiant and did an amazing job. I wore a trench in the sand as I circled around and did my thing. Their guests were the same kind of people that Terri and Steve were so it wasn’t a job for me, it was more like a family reunion and I was part of the family. It was amazing.

My record remains intact, by the way. 30 years of shooting weddings and not one held on a rainy day (knocking on my wooden desk as I type this). It got close there for a bit as I felt a couple drops hit me just as the precession started down the aisle but that was it.
