I’ve just been busy with the other side of the business during the cold months.
Life is about balance. The ebb and flow. Doing the best you can with what you’ve got. Go with the flow. To this end I split my business between portraits and other endeavors. I do the portraits when the weather cooperates as they’re done outside on location. When the temps drop, I head inside to do other things.
I always keep an eye on the weather forecast, though. If I see a day or two that creep up above 65 I start lining up sessions outside so there will be some new images coming down the line, I promise.
I’m also in the process of building a small studio space here for headshots, fitness, fashion, beauty, et cetera. It’s a long process as the funds are tight so I’m slowly putting it together. The goal is to offer portraits year round. I hope to start shooting test sessions soon and will post the images here so stay tuned.
That being said, a photographer should be known for their images. That is what people come to see, after all. So I have a little something for you. As the crazy season really does get crazy, sometimes sessions don’t get posted. They were going to be but then something happened and they fell through the cracks.
So here are some images from a session I did last summer. These might surprise some people as I’m not known for my images of children. Well, it’s not my main thing, to be honest, but these are special people. They are my nieces who I adore so I break my own rule and shoot them whenever I can.
Enjoy the nice, unexpected, break from the norm.
