I’ve known and worked with Amy for a few years now so when it was recently announced that she got engaged to the love of her life, Carl, it was no surprise. After meeting and working with Carl it was easy to see why she loved him so much. They are both funny, easy going, enthusiastic, and share a passion for fitness.
They met when Amy decided to get into better shape. She contacted Carl and he became her personal trainer. After about a month and a half he asked her out for coffee at Hayashi (Aroma’s was closed) on New Year’s Eve. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
2 years later, after a dinner at Hayashi, he proposed.
When they asked me to cover their big day it was a no brainer for me to say yes.
Recently we got together at First Landing State Park to do their engagement session. They wanted to do a couple pictures a la “Up” and then hit the beach for a few shots at sunset. They purchased enough balloons to fill up their car up on the peninsula where they live and drove down to meet me. To see them pull into the parking lot surrounded by balloons, with just their faces visible, was a sight to see, to say the least. I bet they will be telling stories about that trip for years.
The session was a wonderful experience as the love was evident. Time flew by and it was over far too soon but the big day is coming where I know we’ll get more great images.
